Harp, Kositzke win tournament
Bryan Harp and Mason Kositzke won the Cast Masters bass tournament held April 23 at Beaver Lake. They had five bass that weighed 19.35 pounds.
Dustin Rogers and Brian Rusher placed second with five bass at 15.64 pounds. Rusher had big bass of the tournament at 6.73 pounds. David Louks and Collin Cheatham were third with five bass at 14.39 pounds.
Fish were caught on a variety of lures, from plastic worms to spinner baits, said Johnny Brewer, tournament director.

sets tournament
The 29th annual Bradford Marine and ATV Buddy Bass Tournament to benefit the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is Saturday at Beaver Lake.
Fishing begins at first light.
Weigh-in starts at 2 p.m. at Prairie Creek park. Entry fee is $120 per boat. First prize is a Tracker bass boat, motor and trailer, and two collector Daisy BB guns. Hikers to visit lake
Hill ‘N Dale Hiking Club will hike Twin Knobs Trail at Lake Leatherwood in Eureka Spring on May 9. The hike is 4 to 5 miles, moderate with some climbing. All hikers are welcome. Hobbs hosts youth workshop
A workshop for young photographers ages 14-17 is set for 9 a.m. to noon June 27-29 at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area. The park and the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas will host the workshop. Easy hikes to take photographs, hands-on demonstrations and classroom lectures will take place over the three days. Cost is $100. Students should bring a point and shoot camera and photo journal book. Optional gear may include a single-lens reflex camera and laptop with photo editing software.
