Hike, bike at Fall for All
The city of Bella Vista will host Fall for All starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at Blowing Springs Park. The park is at 700 Blowing Spring Road and can be accessed off Mercy Way from U.S. 71.
Local retailers, community groups, cycling advocacy groups and more have teamed up for this event. Trail activities start at 8 a.m. and include group hikes, mountain bike rides and a ride on the Razorback Greenway to the Bentonville square and back.
Following these events, attendees can enjoy live music vendors, food trucks, a beer garden and a bike parade.
Eagle Watch celebrates 20 years
A celebration to mark the 20th anniversary of the Eagle Watch Nature Trail at Swepco Lake west of Gentry will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The trail and parking is one mile west of Gentry on Arkansas 12. Meet at the wildlife viewing pavilions at 10 a.m. for bird watching. The anniversary program is from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Refreshments will be served. The trail is one-half mile long and level.
Hikers explore Buffalo wilderness
Hill ‘N Dale Hiking Club will hike 8.8 miles in the Buffalo River Wilderness Area on Sept. 18 from Centerpoint trailhead to Steel Creek campground.
There will be seven river crossings. The hike will visit the Goat Trail and Granny Henderson’s cabin.

Chamber sets poker ride
The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce and the WalStreet program will host “Bike and Brew,” an in-town poker run bicycling event on Sept. 20 to benefit the Benton County Single Parent Scholarship Fund
Kickoff is at 1 p.m. at the chamber office at 705 S.E. Fifth St. The bike ride is at 2 p.m. The ride is eight miles at an easy pace over two hours, with five stops at local businesses. The post-ride party is at Bike Rack brewing from 4 to 6 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for chamber members or $50 for nonmembers. Poker run score sheets are $20. Additional sheets can be purchased for $10 each.

Walkers visit Huntsville
Ozark Hill Hikers walking club will host 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer walks in Huntsville on Sept. 28.
All walkers are welcome. Registration will be at the gazebo at the Main Street Memorial Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $2 and includes water, snacks and a prize-drawing ticket. Walks must be completed by 3 p.m.
Each registered walker will be given written directions and a map to follow the walk routes planned by the club.

Cruise into the sunset
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area offers sunset pontoon boat trips on Beaver Lake most Thursdays and Sundays in September.
Cost is $10 plus tax for adults or $5 for children ages 6-12.

Tournament honors deputy
The Sonny Smith Memorial Bass Tournament is set for Sept. 27 out of Spadra park at Lake Dardanelle.
Entry fee is $60 per boat, with a $10 optional big bass pot and optional $5 pot for rough fish. Fishing is from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enter at the ramp on tournament morning. The tournament raises money for scholarships awarded to students seeking a career in law enforcement.
Sonny Smith was a Johnson County deputy sheriff killed in the line of duty in 2015.
